Thanks Snappy. Re the "wing patterns" you mentioned on flickr, I think Canon's suffer rolling shutter with electronic shutter, coz the sensor's aren't fast enough. Doesn't happen with the mechanical one, if I remember rightly.

Yes mechanical is better, but as usual I was late making the switch. I have even programmed a button to do it but...
