Always nice to have a bit of company whilst walking on the edges. This very friendly one followed me for a good ten minutes this morning, walking right behind me.
Unless it's human company, coz that's generally a pain in the backside!!

Yep. I think if you are pottering it is always going to be a lone mission.
Two different herons this morning, Great egret and Grey heron, both stood 3 or 4 yards from each other. I presume it's a Great egret, only the 3rd time I've seen one

I don't often get very close to the Great Egret, nice photo's Bob.

Cheers Snappy. As I say only my third time seeing one. A fleeting glimpse in the local valley once and up on Old Moor.
