ID Please

Post by Ed D »

I would be grateful if someone could give me the correct ID for this Wagtail please. Had two in the garden recently. Several sources I have looked at have provided different answers. I think this is a Yellow Wagtail. Sources say Yellow or Citrine.

Hey Ed, Google Lens says yellow wagtail, and looking in my book a citrine would have a greyer/blacker back (more like a grey wagtail), and also black on the back of the neck, so I'd plump for yellow too

Not sure if this is a female White-legged damselfly. Google says yes but the RSPB fold out ID chart does not show this exactly.

There are a lot of variations in all damsels, Ed, male, female, and age differences. I'd say it is a white Legged though.
