A need help!!!

Post by Linda257 »

So ...this wee birdie is doing my head in as it was silent and I immediately thought it was bigger than a whitethroat and didn't act like the whitethroat I have been seeing up the Haugh all the time.
So your opinions will very much help, and stop me tearing my hair out...hopefully.....some pics suggest whitethroat some dont
Maybe it's a teenager
Maybe am just losing the plot

I also think a whitethroat, info from the bird spot site:

Females are similar to males except they are duller and browner particularly on the crown and cheeks, and they do not have the pink wash on the breast.

Juvenile whitethroats have brown upperparts, white chin and throat, and dull buff underparts. Their eyes are dull olive coloured.

Perhaps a juvenile female  I think they need a label...

But but but...a guess today's was on a diet as it looked quite slender compared to the usual wee chunks 😆

Thanks SM
