Cant get much better than this. Right place at the right time. When I finished I thanked the bird and carried on with my walk, leaving it to its breakfast.

What a magnificent bird and a front row seat to watch her having breakfast. I fairly sure it was a female Sparrowhawk. the only other possibility is a Goshawk which is a less common bird.

That's brilliant.
Remarkable how close you were able to be without it disappearing, even when a car went past! Just a shame it seemed a tiny bit too heavy for him/her to carry off to a more comfortable place to munch on.
