Tout Quarry, Portland 09/08/2026
A butterfly trip with some annual firsts, something I've never seen before, and misbehaving Google Lens (possibly!)

Great to see all the butterflies plus a mega sized HBHM.
I think google is teasing you about the Geranium Argus as the UK is well outside it's range. According to my reference book the two species of blue present are the Common and the Adonis.

I think you can slap Google Lens wrist on this one - It's a Chalkhill female
Well done on getting the Grayling, and its hearting to see so many females of the blue families - Hopefully there are still a few chaps about
the PL's look very smart. A good flutterby session
PS how did you get the Walls to settle? what magic did you use - skittish is my term for them esp when its hot!

Ok been back in and closer looks - Your first CB is a Chalkhill, note the back ground colour is quite a dark brown and the checkering on the wing fringes
2nd CB is an Adonis - black checkering on wing fringes after that I think they are mostly Chalkhill blues and worn Adonis
