Not been out for a little while, and the forecast was again for it to be hot, but with little to no breeze early doors. I nipped out local, and did a 2 stop trip, Lydlinch and Alner's Gorse. It was good. Very good. So good, it's in two parts!

Thanks Jack. I only stopped there coz it's on the way to Alner's Gorse, and some dick was driving right up my backside, so late indicating, braking and manoeuvring woke him up, I expect It turned out much more fruitful than I expected

Purple Hairstreak are always a good find especially when happy to pose PB. That's a great selection of butterflies in one location.
I didn't realise the hairstreaks were at Lydlinch. I just happened to be in a spot of shade opposite an oak tree so I thought I may as well look up, and there they were
