A small Tortoiseshell butterfly feasting on a flower. It looks rather tatty and shows signs of an encounter with a spider web.

A couple of Buff-tailed bumblebees found around pond area flowerbed.

Small Tortoiseshell are one of the hibernating species and can look vey tatty when they finally emerge.
