There are cats but only at night mostly as they don't like me much.

Re: BLACKBIRDS
I saw one fledgling and the female together today. The fledgling was flying quite well and only a little wobbly on landing. Yesterday I heard a fledgling calling and the male was hanging around but I didn't see them together.

Re: BLACKBIRDS
This I think will be my final update on the nest. I saw two fledgling and both parents this morning at breakfast time. They were all searching for food independently in the front garden. Somehow one of the fledglings ended up in my garage at lunchtime. There is access through a back door so presumably it just flew in. It resisted my first attempts at eviction but after I'd given some thought and tried a different technique it finally fled through the main door which I had opened.
Note to self; Don't leave any doors open in the garage.
