Went looking for a ring ouzel but found a common sandpiper instead...not at the Haugh but a place called Culter Glen, weather was awful so I may go back on a better day

Ahhh, we're up to York (via bempton boat trip) next month. Not sure we'll make it that far this year, so you'd better get a shufty on 😁

So this morning it was a wee jaunt up there Haugh, Jack Frost when I left just after 7 but sun was shining...not much around at the marsh hide but a fed wee marsh so that's always a highlight...waddled down to the causeway hide, place was a tip as gets used in evenings as a drinking den with school kids...5 carrier bags later I finally sat doon...done my good deed for the day...had the place to myself...ahhh just the way I like it....the a wee duck caught my eye away in the distance, my camera did well to reach it so posted the pic on the SOC chat to ask for help with ID...jeez within 20 mins and the rest of the day so am told you couldnt get in the bloody hide

All for these wee guys

Nice to be the 1st to see something on my patch this year. There was also a one legged little ringed Plover bless...he was too tiny to get a decent pic though

Found one!!
