Glorious day at the seaside with some super birds. hardly time to build a sandcastle I would have thought. Eiders OOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooo
Thanks JS, nah no sandcastles this time, will have to wait til proper hot weather
I really want to see eider duck ...my bro keeps sending me videos of rafts of them - one day I'll get far enough North.
Are CalMac anything to do with DFDS? they stuffed one of theirs into the ramp at St Helier today - it only came back on Service 2 days ago after a re-fit

If you're on the mainland, have a trip to Slimbridge Caroline, they have some there ... I've also seen a pair in Portland Harbour a couple of years ago

Eider are really nice and it the place I am always guaranteed to see them.
As for the ferries, I have no clue other than the fact they are never off the news for breaking down or being millions over budget and years late getting built . So that one in particular only came into service January 2025 and has already been taken out of service 4 times for major issues. Shocking !!!
