The Hunt For Golden Plover, part 1

So reports were that 150 Golden Plover were down at Lodmore Monday, so Tuesday I decided to tootle off and have a look for myself. Before I'd got 50 yards down the path I got a bit distracted.....

Oh wow check you giving Bob a run for his money. Must admit I had to look up Sika deer! I know them from up the farm at Lanark with their pretty white spots...yours are wild beasts Nice encounter for you though PB

Well that was a great distraction PB I have only seen Sika at Arne. I like the magpie passenger

Thanks Linda, not sure who was more surprised, me or him. It was kind of him to loiter while I faffed with getting my phone out, then changing my lens lol

Indeed it was, Snappy. I couldn't believe 4 or 5 people walked along the path behind me and didn't even notice a bloody great deer 15 feet away, even with me pointing a big old lens at it! lol
The Sika at Arne, I believe, swam to the mainland from Brownsea Island where they were introduced by some rich family
