North Dorset Trailway 24/11/2025

Post by PimperneBloke »

So the week off began with a dry, albeit dull-ish morning, and a winter thrush search ensued within walking distance of home. I decided against the big lens (which in hindsight was an error) but I was pleased to see several blackbirds after the recent dirth. Several surprise ensued, which didn't resolve themselves until I was on the computer... silhouettes are so tricky!!
Hope you enjoy the mostly average photos. Tomorrow looks a glorious day, so fingers crossed I can get some decent shots from somewhere then :D

My favourite is that first robin, nice amongst the red berries PB. Also managed your first redwing, I am still looking for a fieldfare... A great selection, fingers crossed for Tuesday :sun:

Cheers Snappy, I wasn't sure I was going to see the thrushes, I was on my way back toward the car when a couple of small flocks flew over in the direction I was headed :)

Thanks Linda... I'm still not happy :D (apart from a good number of blackbirds about)
