Bovisand Beach

Post by Willpar »

Had a lovely sunny morning here. So took advantage of the good weather and walked down to the beach. Tide was more than halfway in, but the roar from the waves was something else. Had the beach all to myself, not a human in sight. From about the third clip can hear a bird twittering above the sound of the waves. No wind as such, but something must have been driving the waves. Great time I had though. I cut down on the talking so as not to spoil the sound of the sea.

The birds are Oystercatchers. One with a limp.
Very relaxing video willpar, I nearly dropped off. :)

Wonder whether, when the tide goes out, a belt of shingle is exposed ? Surely something like that is causing the noise - it must be more than just the incoming tide.
It's a lovely video, Willpar - very therapeutic almost to the point of being hypnotic !! I feel quite sleepy now.

It used to be quite a sandy beach Placi. That's until the storms of a couple of winters ago. Now it seems the sand is way out. So the upper part of the beach is very large pebbles.

I've heard that before - the action of the water on and between shingle. Different susuration from just waves.

That just has to be word of the week. I can't wait for an opportunity to slip it into a conversation. :)
