Had a quick look in a farm building that is now a garage. Just to see if any birds were using it at nesting time.

Very intriguing vid, Willpar. That 'owl' looks to have been there for quite a while - somehow doubt whether it's still terrifying yer average birdie

I am wondering if I should include the two electronic eagle owl bird deterrents in my RSPB garden bird count results. Maybe I will!!!!

It could be that they're the only things to put on the report. If recent experience is any guide me settling down to do a bird count for an hour is usually the signal for all the birds to vamoosh elsewhere.Biker wrote::

True. Do you think they know what's going on (Sturkie spies, no doubt) and are trying to skew the results!

Aaahhaa, Nuthatch, thank you !! New to me that that variety can flower in winter. Maybe it has something to do with the warmer temps in the S-W.

Thanks for the links nuthatch. Very interesting. Looks like quite a high wall is required, seeing how long they grow.
