North Dorset Trailway 21/10/2025
First day off that hasn't coincided with rubbish weather for a while, although the forecast was iffy. Due to the iffyness I stayed local, and went down the Trailway (not sure I've done it since landing here!)
Wagtail surprise, 1st winter thrushes (and earliest).
Hope you enjoy

You had a good trip PB
. I have not see a fieldfare yet, loads of berries about so hopeful. That first linnet looks good with the green background and nice to see the wagtails.

Thanks Snappy... glad you said "first" linnet, coz that was the last shot of them I took, so I've now reordered them chronologically... like I did when I uploaded them
It was also a bit of artful cropping, getting a few leaves out of the shot lol I think this is the earliest by weeks that I've seen Fieldfare, and I think a few Redwing flew by, but I was too slow. The wagtails were a real surprise, not seen them there before

A very rewarding day PB, you chose well , nice to see the thrushes have made their way to your neck of the woods aswell. Linnet and Kestrel my favourites. I think it's defo early for fieldfare here this year aswell, redwing are usually a few weeks infront of them but seems one week redwing next week fieldfare....Happy to see them all the same
Pardon the Scottish accent

Thanks William, tbh, it was nice just to get out without the threat of drowning or being blown away lol
