A Wee Trip Doon the Coast

Post by Linda257 »

Well it was a lovely sunny day yesterday so it was time to hit the coast, I love Troon but OH wanted to go somewhere different  and had to incorporate at castle :shake:
So after a bit of googling I found Portencross Castle in West Kilbride and for me Ardrossan which is right next to it
So here's what I saw at the castle, canny believe I wasted one pic on a castle 😆

Then it was time to move on down to Ardrossan...was trying to find a quiet part with some birds!

I did hope to see lots more but birds weren't playing nice and tide was coming in. Lovely place and I certainly will go back

More blue sky Linda :D Nice to get photo's of the swallows. That first oystercatcher seems to be finding the sand too hot  Lovely too find a curlew, I have only heard one :(

The oystercatcher was warning me it was hot but in that sea breeze it don't feel that hot...different story when a got home and saw I got burnt!!!
The curlew where very vocal but struggled to find one still or close enough, stopped in at the Haugh on way home and curlew right in front of me  typical!!!

Well done for spotting the usually elusive Sea Horses. They always look smaller on the telly.
