Sadly there wasn't a murmuration 'cloud' today but I took a video of what was going on to show you just a fraction of the birds that were there. This went on for 10-15 minutes! Must have been close to 100,000 starlings by the end.

What a rip off. All those birds and no display. I trust you are seeking a refund. :)

I happened to be standing next to a twitcher. He was saying in certain conditions, when the light is very bright and there are basically no clouds, they sometimes just go straight to ground. The annoying part is that he said a couple of days before, there were ~70,000 and the display was brilliant.

Think I'll call it a day for this season on that and go again next year.

Was still a good flying display, Kev and Jacksparrow - they were flying, not playing hopscotch or anything ....

Agree nuthatch. Would have been nice if they painted pictures in the sky, but that was still awesome to watch.
