A Few From Barons Haugh

Post by Linda257 »

My fellow refugees shall know all about the Haugh but for those who don't, it my local site, like 2 mins up road in car and its managed by the RSPB. I have been a regular visitor to the site for past 8 years or so from getting into birding. Things that's seen often at the Haugh are Heron, Kingfishers, Mallard, Gulls Lapwing,Cormorant ,Cows!!! And lots of seasonal visitors. I can't believe how lucky I am to have this on my doorstep.

So here's a few pics from last week or so of my sighting...OH and I should say after 8 years I
FINALLY caught up with the Otters

You're very lucky to have such a good site close at hand. I know a good site and good photos don't go hand in hand but you have achieved very acceptable results.

Was up the Haugh late last night to see if Otters were around...just before sunset but not this time .
This gutsy heron got an applause from me after its rather lengthy battle with a very large eel
