WEATHER

Cold start to the ay here. Mostly cloudy morning but a quite sunny afternoon. High of 14c.
Re: WEATHER
For the second time in my life I feel privileged to witness the arrival of the Barnacle Geese going to Caerlaverock Reserve of the Wildfowl & Wetland Trust. From horizon to horizon in all directions there was skeen upon skeen upon skeen of geese arriving. What a fantastic sight. The reserve usually gets 35,000 plus Barnacle Geese every year. This must have bee the main body of geese arriving. The other half was with me at the time and she was absolutely amazed at the sight. The first time I saw them arriving I thought I would never see the sight again. AM I a lucky chap or not?

Re: WEATHER
You are very privileged as it is something I would enjoy. I have seen Pink Foots arriving in Norfolk but not en masse.peregrine wrote: Sat Oct 12, 2024 4:47 pm For the second time in my life I feel privileged to witness the arrival of the Barnacle Geese going to Caerlaverock Reserve of the Wildfowl & Wetland Trust. PS I'm not sure why this is weather related. Re-locate to "what I saw today" perhaps.
