Film4 - Thurs, 4 Dec, 11.05 pm: DAS BOOT
Tends to bring back many memories. Not that I was ever in any great peril like that depicted but makes you think what might have been.

Not a programme but has anyone else noticed that BBC One are using some new "idents" in between programmes and in one the "O" is replaced by half a coconut being visited by birds. It's not a real coconut or real birds but at least they've made the effort. :)

Did anyone catch the prog on BBC4 last night - "The Art Of Fly Fishing: Kiss The Water" ??
It wasn't about fly fishing at all actually, it concerned a little lady who lived all alone waaaaay up in the north-eastern part of Scotland (Brora) who spent her life simply making the very best salmon flies in the world. Her flies would catch fish where no other fly could.
Even Prince Charles would visit her personally.

Hard to explain but it was sort of surreal, quite dreamlike in a way. Very different.
