Hi Nuthatch, it was Gieves in the background. He makes those noises when he`s rolling in the dirt. The seat is a bit high. But I did notice that several trees have been felled. Looks mainly oak ones.

It's a bit like War of the Worlds. Something huge being taken down by something very small.

A shame for such a great tree but nature will make use of it in other ways.

It's the first time I've seen the tree stump turned into a seat like that. I quite approve. :yes:

:tree: I've seen some in a garden that were 'home-made' but the trees weren't already in situ - the stump seats were taken there :)

I wonder how long the oak seats will last .... the stumps look nice, too, when they are fashioned into bird tables with a bit of a ridge around the outside :bird2:
