Johnny Kingdom, the south west cameraman and wildlife presenter has died in a tractor accident on his land.

So sorry about that. I recall his programmes about Exmoor and the south-west generally. Nice man who loved his area.

What a great shame. I liked the man and had the pleasure once of seeing him in person. His passion for Exmoor and his love of the wildlife there was second to none. He has not been on the television in recent times but I'm sure he was carrying on his good works regardless.

Got hit by a horse today. Walked along side it in the farmyard and it swished its tail and hit me on the head. More surprised than anything. The rider did apologize but said I was ok. Must admit it was quite a whack, and from a tail.
Went in there to try and see the farmer. One of his small gates that I go through had been taken off its hinges and dumped. Did see the farmer and told him. Says hes been having a spot of bother with some youths.
