Shows just how careful you have to be. They're so convincing
Re: SPAM AND SCAM
My main email account is gmail and I'm moving most of my normal stuff to there. I do have some "madasafish" email addresses. I have to check them out on-line, so don't check them often.
Looking at both of them today, in the spam folder are emails from Ocado with my receipt.
Hmm. I do shop at Ocado but my email with them is gmail.
So I pulled the real one up against the fake one. Presumably because it was in my spam folder the apostrophes came out as gobbeldegook, but it was a pretty good copy.
Because I'm on a macbook, I cannot work out how to interrogate the links to see where they go to. On Windows, you can hover over the top and see where it goes.

Just been on Ocado and there's a message there on the first page saying about it.

Just in case this one's doing the rounds - email from Amazon labelled URGENT.
Says that your account will be stopped unless used within every 2-month period and asks you to "Open here". Don't !!

Thanks Placi.
I make it a strict rule not to open any attached items in emails unless I am absolutely certain where they have come from.

Gmail users :
"Resolve one security issue on your Google account" email is a scam.
Don't open it.
Seems it's new last month and it's targeting Gmailers.

Re: SPAM AND SCAM
I had a new scam/spam arrive in my junk mail inbox today. It purports to be from the DVLA and suggests that they owe me money(as if) and all I have to do is click on the link provided to make my claim
I'm still waiting for my refund of taxes from the HMRC and that Nigerian Prince I was helping to get money out of his country has gone very quiet since I sent him the access money.

Re: SPAM AND SCAM
I've had the DVLA ones recently too. I think it's a new scam to get reg numbers to clone cars or identify the locations of nice stealable ones.
