I have been their many years ago, they had the well dressing.
They do have that up the Hope valley. In the little villages. It is a lovely spectacle.

Not sure if you have been to the village of Eyam close by in the Peaks. I think that's the furthest north the plague went in 1665. All still with the old houses with plaques on the walls telling who died there. The Riley graves where the whole family died. The stones with holes drilled in that were filled with vinegar to get money in to the village. I think 70% or so died and and the little village church tells it all.

Not that we remember but it was a long time ago :laugh: Sounds an interesting place.

Lots of fieldfares up in the Peaks this morning, feeding on the last of the berries.

lol. Cheers PB. They were great, both mixed in with the redwings. I've not really seen them in the local valley this year so good to come across them up there.
