I hope you're right Linda. I do miss them as they are my favourite garden bird.

Re: BLACKBIRDS
I had hoped the disease hadn't reached my area. One of those which departed for the moult was a real character and I was hoping he'd return to resume the friendship. It's looking very unlikely now.PimperneBloke wrote: ↑Fri Oct 24, 2025 7:30 amI think they were devastated by the disease. Re: BLACKBIRDS
That maybe answers why we have not seen our Mr and Mrs B for the past couple of weeks, nor the juvenile that never left home! Never seen so many berries on our Yew tree !!!!Jacksparrow wrote: ↑Fri Oct 24, 2025 7:03 pmI had hoped the disease hadn't reached my area. Re: BLACKBIRDS
for the first time in weeks I heard two blackbirds. They have a habit of twitting when the sun is setting and they were at it in one of my neighbours garden this evening. F
Fingers crossed for a sighting tomorrow.
Re: BLACKBIRDS
After an absence of sometime, Mr and Mrs B made a return on Saturday (must have gone on holiday!) we know they are the same pair as recognise their markings and beak characteristics. The yew tree berries await them in abundance :-)TrevLincs wrote: ↑Tue Oct 28, 2025 11:54 amThat maybe answers why we have not seen our Mr and Mrs B for the past couple of weeks, nor the juvenile that never left home!
