NESTING BOXES

Post by greg »

Here's some of our nest boxes. Last year, I renovated some of the boxes I'd bought in previous years. I picked a distinctive colour scheme for them. My wife says the birds will be terrified ! ( we'll find out this year) :)

There's also the Caravan box (complete with wheels and tow bar), which I made for any birds who want a holiday away from home, in our garden :D

The most likely takers for those type of boxes are Blue Tits and they are not fussy about the colour scheme. Further more their suitability test seems to have a pretty low pass threshold so you should be OK. :)

They look quite nautical :D the caravan is brilliant, greg - I hope they won't tow it away - did you make it with a tin?

The roof is tin - the rest of it is plywood.

The square one's the window. The white 'towel' is the door with a round hole for the birds.

I'm sure the Blue Tits were pairing up today, has anyone noticed any ?
