Warblers

Post by Bob S » Thu Jul 03, 2025 9:10 am

A whitethroat this morning. It's been an excellent year for them in the local valley. Hopefully get to post some different warblers over the coming weeks. Lots of blackcaps and chiffchaffs around too.

Interesting that they are doing so well, this year especially. TBH I was tracking two foxes hunting in hedgerows today but they spotted me... no surprise there. Once they legged it I turned and the hedgerow was alive with whitethroats.

Cheers SnappyMac. Surprised there wasn't a topic already for them and warblers in general. They do make the hedges come alive.

It has been very cheering to read of various species having a good year as there have been a few stinkers recently.
