I haven't heard from the Wildlife Hospital today so I've just emailed them (general and non-urgent enquiries) - they only have a 24 hour Casualty Helpline mobile number (emergencies only after 8pm, until 8am) so I don't want to use that :hedgehog:

No news yet.

Saw a hedgie last night - it was between small and medium size - it was moving around and eating well (and left a calling card) - will keep a look-out for it :hedgehog:

Not seen any here for a week now nuthatch. Guess the big sleep has beckoned.

Still no word ....

There was a dead hedgehog in the garden near the hedge this morning - medium sized. It had one tick but looked otherwise perfect.

I don't think it was the one from the night before last - this one looked bigger and felt quite heavy - maybe it would feel heavier dead  :hedgehog:

Very sad Nuthatch :( Even more so as there was no obvious cause of death.

Re. the Wildlife Hospital - a short while ago I emailed the person who emailed me back and they said that the centre is busy and they will chase them again :hedgehog:

I had an email from the trustees yesterday evening:

They say that the good news is that the little hedgehog is doing very well and gradually putting weight on. He is being kept warm so that he won't go into hibernation and will stay in that section of the hospital until he reaches 700g.
