Picked up a few extra ferals. There were seven this morning. Have even learned how to get on the feeder in the hawthorn, navigating the branches.

They're quick learners and unfortunately the less bright ones learn from the others.

I now have one less feral visiting. It must have been about first light when a Sprawk had a successful kill. I did not see the attack but I did find the feathers and gut parts that the Sprawk didn't want to eat. The carsass was missing which leads me to believe it was a female Sprawk.

Sad for the pigeon, but no doubt it was a good meal for the sparrowhawk. A natural way of thinning them out. Had a red one on the roof the other day, and also counted nine of them.

I think the Sprawk bagged another feral today. I was out most of the day and came home to feathers on the back lawn. There weren't as many as last time and there was no sign of a carcass which means it was disturbed and flew off with it to a quieter place.

Sprawk is getting lucky. Someone is throwing corn out into the carpark by my front door, don`t know who as not spotted it being done.

My Feral population seems to have settled at about 6 at the moment. They come quite a lot but are not being a nuisance. Interestingly they sometimes have a Stock Dove with them.

I have a few waiting on the roof for when I go out with the food just after 7am.

I had a feral in the garden this afternoon looking as though it was suffering from Trico. Although it was able to fly it didn't move when I walked right by it perched on the bird bath. It hung around for while and disappeared around teatime.
