Who can blame them. Cold weather is in the forecast for the coming week.Willpar wrote: Fri Sep 23, 2022 10:38 am Looks like the swallows have migrated. Not seen any for several days now. The ones I did see were all heading south.

Forgot to mention that yesterday, 20th April, seen my first swallow. Must say it is later than usual by a couple of weeks. Just the one though.

We are having some very cool north easterly winds at present so I'm surprised any Swallows are bothering to come this far north. It is only a couple of weeks before the Swifts are due to arrive so I hope it warms up before then.Willpar wrote: Fri Apr 21, 2023 7:37 am Forgot to mention that yesterday, 20th April, seen my first swallow. Have noticed the weather is in for a change. Seen two more swallows today.
Re: SWIFTS, SWALLOWS AND HOUSE MARTINS
First House Martin arrived 26 April. No sign of any Swallows yet. Martins and Swallows are usually here mid April so they are about a week late, Swallows about two weeks.

Swifts are late arriving this year in my location. I have not seen one yet.

I have just seen my first Swifts for this year. Better late than never.
