Very similar up in the SW Midlands. Lots of Daffs and other bulb plants plus Primroses poking through. The first Blackthorn bushes are getting into bloom plus the flowering cherry trees. But where has the Spring gone?

You're ahead of the game down there. Mine is still in winter mode which is just as well given the frosts that are forecast.

My Flowering Columnar Cherry tree in the front garden. The other half wants to cut the top. Don't think it would look right then.

Lovely tree peregrine, and don`t take up too much space.

Nothing new is growing but we have reached the time of year when my Rowan tree is in blossom. The blossom gives of a very distinct aroma which I have to say resembles the smell of cat pee. That aside the tree attracts huge numbers of insects in search of nectar. Such are their numbers that there is a buzz in the air very similar to that of distant traffic. The downside is that after an insect visit the little blossoms fall to the ground causing quite amess and getting everywhere.

I'm hoping lots of blossom equals lots of berries but it rarely works out that way. :(

I have bluebells starting to flower :spring: . They first showed signs last week but the cold weather is stopping them coming out any further. :cold2:
