Fantastic!
If you can add a flat stone to act as a ramp for things to get in and out more easily. Looks like a perfect little home for your frog though. Fingers crossed for some frog spawn!

Hi Kev. It doesn't show up on the photos but I have built a kind of stairway from flattish stones leading up to water surface. Watched the frog climb up it the other day. Think he spends a lot of time under the stairs as I often see just a leg sticking out.

Have managed to snap frog. He's being a bit adventurous by appearing at opposite end of bowl to where he normally hangs out. I was a bit nervous about frightening him but he didn't seem to mind me looming above him.

Thanks everyone. I really enjoyed making it and am thrilled to bits that it's being used.

Today I made a start on the autumn garden clearance. More often than not this usually disturbs a frog from a hiding place amongst the excess foliage. today revealed none whatsoever of any size. Which is rather odd given the number of Froglets there were around only a short while ago

As all garden pond owners will tell you there is a time when sorting out all the growth in the pond is unavoidable. Today was such a day. Along with hacking back the peripherals the water lily(which never flowered this year :( ) had to be part hauled out for cutting back. Apparently this lily had been home to five fully grown frogs until my intervention. They stared at me indignantly from the other side of the pond. :frog: :frog: :frog: :frog: :frog:
