Have just seen a Mrs Blackbird going from place to place in the garden with a huge beakful of nesting material :blackbird:

A good sign. Do you think the nest will be in your garden?

The occupants of my Blackbird nest have now fledged. It/they have left the nest and taken up home in a nearby bush. The parents are still feeding them so they may have been a little early leaving the nest. No sightings thus far. :shake:

What a thrill, Jacksparrow. Good for the blackies (and for the secluded quiet of the rolling acres de le chateau grounds ).

No sightings of the newly fledged as yet although they/it seems to have relocated by a couple of feet.

An hour or so before dusk last night I caught a glimpse of a young Blackie in the area that the male had been heading with the food. It then disappeared with a mad fluttering of wings and I have seen nothing since. There has been no sign of feeding activity today so I'm assuming the youngster have moved on.

Most of us will have seen our Blackies sunbathing. Here are a couple of mine.
