Re: BLACKBIRDS
No, Jacksparrow - they're from the aforementioned nest in the hedge. It's been easier to spot who's who as the chick has grown and is now looking around a bit

Ah sorry I'd lost track of time and didn't realise how far things had progressed.nuthatch wrote:No, Jacksparrow - they're from the aforementioned nest in the hedge. It's been easier to spot who's who as the chick has grown and is now looking around a bit
Re: BLACKBIRDS
The chick fledged yesterday - was by the hedge being fed and then going back into the hedge but not to the nest. I didn't see any of this. Will try to get a pic.
Now OH is saying he's not entirely sure that there were two chicks as he looked in the nest for only a split second.
Some other pics I took on Monday of the parents - not sure about the last one though
On different hedge

Re: BLACKBIRDS
The chick was on a disused sunlounger at 10.10 today. The lounger is in a corner just to the right of the nest hedge:-

Re: BLACKBIRDS
A sparrow came to the food on the grass near the nest hedge, Mr. Blackbird got in a tizz and pecked it on the back
