Garden Wildlife UK

At the mo my electronical communications device is playing silly laptops and I can only access GWUK through Google which brings up a list of germane alternatives as is well known by one and all.
Well, being no expert in these things, I seem to mistily recall Kev explaining that the closer one's target 'click' is to the top of the list then the more popular is a particular site. Is this correct ??
My reason for drawing attention to this is that (at least on my list) we are third in a very l-o-n-g list when "gardenwildlifeuk" is googled.
Are we famous ??

Search results are a bit of a black art!

If you search for your own site name you're likely to be near the top because the search is picking out all of those words together and we're the only one with all three.

A search for 'garden wildlife forum' puts us at the top of page 2 which isn't bad.

Why are we being suddenly bombarded by strange-sounding names who join and never post ??
