I have a pot in my garden. It used to have a forest flame pieris which went bad and died. The pot has grass one side and a big fence and a road the other.
So why does it now have lovely pink heather in it? I've no idea where it came from as, as far as I can see, there's none around in eyesight.

JooMoo: Possibly the Pieris (acid-loving) was planted in peat-based compost which sometimes contain heather seeds because the original site is the same, and therefore a welcome surprise may pop up :).
