Had a lovely early morning jaunt to Studland, and surprisingly saw my first terns of the year. Usually I have to wait 'til a Brownsea visit for Sandwich Terns

Certainly does Linda The sky... it was classed as "sunny spells" ... the spell was about 10% of the sky during the 5 minutes the terns were there!!

Thanks Snappy, I wasn't expecting them! There was a Black Necked Grebe in full summer finery there yesterday, and a Great Northern Diver loitering, but I had no sign of either today unfortunately.

No mention of them being there yesterday. They're pretty tardy if still about!

Thanks Jack. Terns are certainly one of my favourite birds to watch in flight, as you say, very elegant.....now to see an Elegant Tern.... that would ne a treat
