Oh wow you seemed a TAD bored by the marshies. Thanks for the heads up on the GWE breeding beak! Nice to see the Grebes looking fab and a wee kingie thrown in aswell. Am no sure there was much room for anything else PB! Would have been good if the Dinosaurmorant knocked you over "baby" :rofl:

Apparently there are Cranes there, and the day before I was there Glossy Ibis too :shrug: can't have it all I guess lol, ohhhh... and I saw my first Swallow of the year too, but it was waaaaaaaaaaaaay to quick for a pic lmao

A great head on photo of the cormorant PB. Certainly a good variety their, loads of lovely photo's. I will have to go back when the hides are open...

I was surprised by the Heron on a nest shot as I thought they nested in Heronries up in trees.

Thanks Snappy, not sure I've had one flying towards me before :) If you do go down, check out Shapwick Heath as well, it's just the other side of the road, and I think it has better Marshie views, from Noah's Hide :yes:

Thanks Jack.... I was surprised about herons in the reedbed too, a regular said there were 4 or 5 nests. A couple of years back we went to Swell Wood, which had views of egret and heron nests up trees... and some REALLY ugly youngsters lol
