Friday 8th August (part 2) Tout Quarry

So, after a fine start to the day, onward, and upward (literally) to Tout Quarry (
https://www.visit-dorset.com/listing/to ... /63002301/ )
As the images are finally showing in the preview, I won't add text just in case! There were lots of Blues, the vast majority Chalkhill, but with a smattering of Adonis and Common. Also, Greyling, Wall Brown, Small Heath, Meadow Brown, Red Admiral, 2 Hummingbird Hawkmoths and towards the end a real surprise (and a first for me). I've also included a view down from the top, along Chesil Bank, which shows Ferrybridge, where I go quite often for waders and Little Terns.
Hope you enjoy

Aww, fanks Linda. I tried about 5 times yesterday to post, even with fewer pictures than that, so once they showed in the preview this morning I wasn't going to take any chances lol

Thanks Cin... I kept thinking of you, coz for about the first half an hour everything was landing flat, so no hope of an underwing shot lol

Most recently, I saw one last year in Charlestown, Cornwall and this year one at the RSPB Sandy being held carefully by a Kestrel
