First time i have ever heard of these never mind see how. Taken at a nature reserve almost 40 mins form my hour near Wigan.

Bar Heads are not a native species. I think they originate in Asia. They are renowned for flying at great altitude and have been recorded flying over the Himalayas.

Lovely photo John, and the first I have heard of it. Nice looking bird.
