Cosmos bipinnatus, commonly called the garden cosmos or Mexican aster.
I don't think I'd heard of it under any name.

I see it a lot in various gardens and meadows locally. Flower photography is something I really enjoy.

Flowers have the benefit of not flying away or moving just at the moment you click the shutter plus there is a greater variety to go at.
