The government has said at home we should stay
All but for one single hour per day
What shall we do with this time,shall we walk?
Perchance find someone else for a two metre talk.

But with one single hour on the clock
There's barely the time for a walk around the block
That is OK for the first once or thrice
See other folk's gardens,oh they've kept it nice

But now I've got bored with the same old pound
And I've tried going the other way round
You get to thinking this'll never end
Before I go right round the bend

This is hilarious!

Sadly I've lost 2 former colleagues to the virus.
One was a smoker with underlying health problems, the other one was a non smoker but slightly overweight.
I work for the NHS, the past 6wks have been extremely difficult. I hope things improve soon so we can try to regain some sort of normality.

I don't think things will ever return to 'the old normal'. A 'new normal' is gradually settling down upon us - things like air travel and actually shopping in supermarkets. Read this morning that Warren Buffet has sold all his airline stock: that will reverberate through the entire financial structure 'cos he's the guru of investment and has a very great deal of clout.
All we need is a financial crisis to go with the pandemic !!

Also, wouldn't be surprised if Saturday postal delivery becomes another permanent casualty.

We have enough PPE for now but we are running very low, hopefully we'll be stocked up soon.

I think you're right about a new normal, i read earlier that the number of people using lifts will be reduced, and that peoples starting times for work will be staggered to continue with social distancing, it's certainly going to take some getting used to.

Just before lock down i saw a woman in a supermarket with a trolley bursting with bread, milk and toilet rolls, and in my local newsagents the assistant told me that people were queuing outside at 5.30am for toilet rolls, there was never going to be a shortage but people created a shortage by bulk buying!

When you read or see reports of individual deaths caused by Corvid19 it is difficult not to get a lump in the throat but having a personal connection must make it extra difficult. I have nothing but admiration for the NHS workers going into battle daily never knowing for certain that infection may catch up with them.
Although lockdown is tough I would rather it stayed in place rather than the virus getting a hold again so we had to repeat the exercise.
