That seems to be a common thread, Jacksparrow - they never talked about it.

I've just found this out - Triclosan, in Colgate Total toothpaste, is cancer-inducing.
Checked my t'paste and yes it was Total. Read the ingreds and there it was, Triclosan. Now binned.
Fortunately I have 3 sample little tubes courtesy of my dental hygienist: Sensodyne Rapid Relief, and Complete Protection, and Colgate Sensitive Pro-Relief. All ingreds without Triclosan.
It shouldn't be allowed

- and neither should Fluoride actually.

Under what circumstances does the Triclosan cause cancer? I am always a little sceptical of health warnings as it seems almost everything we eat or drink can cause some kind of cancer if taken in unwise amounts. It seems that a day seldom passes without scientists in some corner of the globe coming up with claims about this, that or the other being bad for our health only for another lot to make a counterclaim six months later.

Thanks, Placi

I use Colgate Pro-Relief but OH uses the Total
For years and years I used Sensodyne and then the Pro-Relief, when it came out up until a few years ago when they may have changed the formula and I nearly jumped out of my skin with the pain
