My old Hotmail account which I don't use for anything serious has been bombarded with spam for the last 3 months. I know the address was obtained when the Wetherspoons website was hacked about 12 years ago. I report about 8 as spam every day via the microsoft website but nothing changes as the same names crop up almost every day.

For the second time in 4 weeks someone has applied to change a password on one of my accounts. First it was Facebook and yesterday it was the BTO. Neither time was successful because the systems ask for a code verification which only come from my nominated email address. Even so I'm feeling someone is on my case. :(

Never opened it, but had an email from supposedly screwfix with an invoice number. Don't shop with them.

I keep getting emails telling me I've won a prize supposedly from Currys. I've also lost count of the number of Ring doorbell cameras that would come my way if I click on the supplied link
They are all blatant scams but someone must fall for it to make them worthwhile sending out.

Some people will fall for it JS. But they are getting more clever now, and with AI as a tool, it will only get worse.
