They add a bit more colour, don't they!

Maybe the herons will think they are leaves too

Very blustery today, when I was walking along the village I noticed two house martins having trouble. One managed to carry on but the other had to come down, but in long grass. Went and got it and took short video. Then went to other side of road where there were open fields and released it. With a tail wind this time it managed ok. Don't supposed it had fledged long.

Aww brilliant, Willpar it's been very windy.

Stuck in its middle.



Seen this squirrel while I was at a pals place this morning. Went down and had a look and found this. Was unclear as to whether it was actually stuck or just could not fathom how to get out. Engaged the help of a neighbour who came out with some steps and a long pole. Not long enough. Lady of the house was on the phone to RSPCA who gave her another number. There was a large log on the property and the chap whacked the telephone pole with it. With the sound and vibration, the squirrel shot out of the ring and down the pole, crossed the road and went into fir trees. So was it stuck or not. Was there for over an hour.

Perhaps the vibration of the pole were enough to release Mr Nutkin from his trap. Naked fear has saved many a soul fro what seemed certain death.

Wonder when it will emerge.

It could be a long wait Willpar. Did you find it in vegetation or was it in the soil?

It was sort of in the soil, was weeding the path when I dug it up.
