We dumped the car just off the M1 roundabout (and it was still there when we got back

) and walked past Meadowhall to the garages. They did have a little grandstand, but it was just past the 1km left blow ups and so there was a lorry in the way and it was the inside of a bend. We had nice pasties, tea and biscuits and watch the Grand Prix - well the fence fixing, then went outside the compound as we got ourselves a spot on a bit of a straight.

I heard on the radio this morning that one of the cyclists said he'd never seen crowds like that at the race - anywhere. They couldn't get over it
I love watching it - very much like the Olympic Torch Relay around the country a couple of years ago and you can follow it online:

As you say Kev it didn't take long

I was thinking yesterday that the boards had been a little quiet but I suppose at this time of year there are plenty of other distractions other than watching the garden.
