I have never seen one and not one you see many photo's of Mr Kes, lovely photo.

That's a proper belter Mr Kes. They were apparently at Alners Gorse where I saw the Purple and White Letter Hairstreaks this year, but I've still to see one

Thanks Linda. I happened upon this one as I was walking a long a mixed oak and blackthorn hedge one day. I went back to see if there were others later on during the week but didn't see anymore. I was glad to have taken quite a few photos of this one. While not supposedly rare in UK. Certainly rare in my eyes, as I have never seen one ever and only saw one this year despite lots of looking.
