That's very seasonal, Willpar. Lots of fungi.
The shots of the pernettya - we had one once and didn't find out until the next season that you need a male plant in close proximity or no berries form . It's quite an unremarkable shrub without the berries so we didn't keep it for long.
The jay was a good spot but what were the 2 brown birds in the grass ? Couldn't get the scale.

Thank you Placi. Did not know what the purple berries were. Pity the jay never stayed a bit longer, but was lucky to get what I did. As for those brown birds, they are a bit larger than a sparrow with a speckled chest. Seen one up closer before it flew off. A little bit of holly with berries and some nice fungi, all adds up to Autumn.

An entertaining montage. A Jay and a pair of Meadow Pipits(I think ) and what were the spectacular purple berries?

Thank you jacksparrow, never knew what the little birds were. Placi named the purple berries in her post above. So far Autumn is looking good.

Still Autumn Watching.

So very many different types of fungi still thriving, and a wonderful selection of ferns enjoying an extended season. Glad to see the pot marigold is still blooming . And a jay to wind things up !!

Thank you Jacksparrow. Must say it don't take long for things to change after a few days of rain.

I didn't know what the 'antler fungus' was, Willpar but Google says it's a Coral Fungus (Ramaria) - lots of types within this family and it's fairly common.
New one on me though. It's a lovely thing.
