The Shropshire Steam Fair looks like fun! I love steam engines of all sorts: tractors, ship engines and locomotives!
It's really fabulous Charles, I think nearly all of the traction, steam and vintage community of the UK attend - they have everything going on over two days.
Last time I was to a steam fair was over 30 years ago up in Flensburg, Germany on the Danish boarder. They also had the steam tugs 'Noordzee' and 'Woltmann' with her cute, little double-expansion engine. It was indeed brisk and cold out on the Flensburger Fjord so I sat by her engine and the warmth of the coal fire.
